Located at 690 Robbins Road, the Boise Senior Activities Center is a community center which provides activities and programs for senior citizens, including computer classes, noon meals, dancing, health screenings, exercise classes, and games, such as billiards and Pinochle. Services such as foot clinics, legal counsel, 55 Alive Driver Refresher course, commodities, and income tax assistance are also provided.
The Center also features the Craft Boutique, where locally hand-crafted items are for sale, and Grandma’s Treasures Thrift Store. (Donations for the Thrift Store are welcome!) Proceeds from both stores help provide more programs and services for seniors. To see photos of seniors in action at the Center, click here.
For those wanting to volunteer, the Center has many opportunities. Volunteers serve as front desk receptionists, dining room assistants, game and activities assistants, and as workers for the bulk mailing preparation group, thrift store, and the craft store. The Boise Senior Activities Center’s phone number is 208-345-9921.
Transportation is available for those living in the transportation service area.
