No doubt about it; when you are not able to drive a car, it’s hard to get around! Senior Solutions offers two programs that help meet transportation needs:

Senior Transportation has wheelchair accessible minibuses which take elderly individuals to the Boise Senior Activities Center for meals and activities, provide grocery shopping trips for seniors in senior housing complexes, and transport seniors to and from medical appointments.

Those needing rides to the Boise Senior Activities Center or medical appointments must call and schedule their rides in advance at 345-9921.

Transportation is provided on a donation basis to assist with costs. For more details about Senior Transportation, click here.

Taxi Scrip is a subsidized taxi program that provides transportation to persons who are unable to drive due to a permanent disability, who live in the Boise City limits.

Through the Scrip program, discounted Scrip coupons are sold to eligible clients who use them to pay for taxi fare for their transportation needs.

Individuals must meet eligibility requirements and have valid Scrip I.D. cards to purchase Scrip. A physician’s certification of the person’s disability may be required. To obtain a Scrip I.D. card, individuals must make an appointment with a Scrip representative by calling 345-7777. For more details about Scrip Taxi Coupons, click here.
